Guidance, not professional advice
Our guides, calculators and Room Studio give general guidance based on published standards, manufacturers’ documentation and simplified models. They aren’t a substitute for the instructions that come with your products, local building codes, or a qualified installer. In particular:
- Wall mounting: follow your mount’s and TV’s manuals, and fix into suitable structure. A falling TV can cause serious injury.
- Fireplaces: TV makers set temperature limits; measure the heat at your wall and follow both manuals.
- Building work: risers, basements and electrical work may need permits and inspections.
- Product data: dimensions and prices are copied from manufacturers’ pages on the dates shown and can change. Check the model you buy.
Using the site
You may use the site and Room Studio for personal planning. Rooms you create are yours. Don’t attempt to disrupt the service or scrape it at volume.
