Privacy policy

Short version: Room Studio works in your browser. Rooms you draw are saved on your device, not on our servers. We don’t have accounts, and we don’t sell personal information.

Room Studio

  • Your rooms stay on your device. The studio saves your current room and your saved plans in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your browser data deletes them. We never receive them.
  • Share links contain the room. When you create a share link, the room is compressed into the part of the link after the “#”. Browsers don’t send that part to web servers, so we don’t receive it either; anyone you give the link to can open the room.
  • Exported files and images are created in your browser and saved to your device.

The website

  • Server logs. Like any website, our host records basic request information (IP address, browser type, the page requested, the time) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, from Google, to count visits and see which pages are read. It records the pages you view on this site, roughly where you are (country and city, worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics doesn’t store), your browser and device type, and the site that sent you here. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_… that last up to two years, so a return visit counts as the same visitor. Its advertising features (Google Signals and ad personalization) are switched off, and we don’t use advertising trackers. It doesn’t run inside Room Studio or in calculators embedded on other sites. To opt out, block cookies for this site or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
  • Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
  • Retailer links. If a page links to a retailer, that retailer’s own privacy policy applies once you visit it.

Email

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and keep them only as long as needed.

Children

The site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
